If you have not tried Avast Free Antivirus yet, try it! I had my issues with version 4, but Avast has really stepped up their game with the release of Version 5. The power of this software is in the ability it provides in the free version to crank down on the settings. PUP Malware has become the most consistent complaint we receive in the malware department. Avast has the option to home in on PUPs, but it is off by default. JamKo recommends turning this setting on in the sensitivity section for each of the Avast shields and scans.
